For the sake of Allah, Generally Generous, Generally Benevolent.

(Allah) Generally Charitable!
It is He Who has taught the Qur´an.
He has made man:
He has shown him discourse(and insight).
The sun and the moon follow courses (precisely) figured;
Furthermore, the spices and the trees - both (the same) prostrate in reverence.
Furthermore, the Atmosphere has He raised high, and He has set up the Equilibrium (of Equity),
All together that ye may not violate (due) balance.
So lay out weight with equity and miss the mark yet to be determined.
He has fanned out the earth for (His) animals:
In that is products of the soil palms, creating spathes (encasing dates);
Additionally corn, with (its) leaves and tail for grub, and sweet-smelling plants.
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
He made man from sounding mud like unto ceramics,
Also, He made Jinns from fire liberated from smoke:
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
(He is) Master of the two Easts and Ruler of the two Wests:
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
He has let free the two collections of streaming water, meeting up:
Between them is a Hindrance which they don't violate:
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
Out of them come Pearls and Coral:
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
Also, His are the Boats cruising flawlessly through the oceans, grand as mountains:
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
All that is on earth will die:
However, will withstand (for ever) the Essence of thy Master,- loaded with Greatness, Abundance and Honor.
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
Of Him looks for (its need) each animal in the sky and on the planet: consistently in (new) Magnificence doth He (sparkle)!
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
Before long will We settle any unresolved issues, O both ye universes!
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
O ye gathering of Jinns and men! Assuming it be ye can pass past the zones of the sky and the earth, pass ye! not without power will ye have the option to pass!
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
On you will be sent (O ye malicious ones twain!) a fire of fire (to consume) and a smoke (to gag): no protection will ye have:
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?

On that Day no inquiry will be posed of man or Jinn with respect to his transgression.
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
(For) the delinquents will be known by their imprints: also, they will be held onto by their forelocks and their feet.
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
This is the Damnation which the Miscreants deny:
In its middle and amidst extremely hot water will they meander round!
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
However, for, for example, dread when they will remain previously (the Judgment Seat of) their Master, there will be two Nurseries
Then which of the blessings of your Ruler will ye deny?-
Containing numerous sorts (of trees and enjoyments);-
Then which of the blessings of your Ruler will ye deny?-
In them (each) will be two Springs streaming (free);
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?-
In them will be Products of each and every sort, two and two.
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
They will lean back on Rugs, whose inward linings will be of rich brocade: the Product of the Nurseries will be close (and simple of reach).
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
In them will be (Ladies), virtuous, limiting their looks, whom no man or Jinn before them has contacted;-

Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?
Is there any Award for Good - other than Great?
Then which of the blessings of your Master will ye deny?

Tafseer of Surah Rahman
Author: Abul A'la Maududi
Ar Rahman, the word that this Surah begins with, is its name. However, this term also has a strong connection to the Surah's topic because it discusses the manifestations and results of Allah's attribute of kindness and grace from beginning to end. The Surah Rahman

Time of the Revelation

The commentators for the most part have the perspective that this is a Makki Surah, however as per a few practices which have been refered to on the power of Hadrat Abdullah receptacle Abbas, Ikrimah and Qatadah, it was uncovered at Madinah. However there, right off the bat, are additionally a few different customs from these very specialists, which go against this view; furthermore, its topic looks similar with the Makki Surahs than with the Madani Surahs; maybe it seems to have a place with the early Makkah period. In any case, there are a few genuine customs which affirm that it had been uncovered in Makkah itself numerous years prior to the hijrah. ( Surah Rahman)

Musnad Ahmad contains a practice from Hadarat Asma, girl of Abu Bakr (may Allah favor them both), with the impact: " I saw the Courier of Allah offering his Requests in the sacrosanct regions of the Ka'bah confronting the corner wherein the "Dark Stone" is fixed. This connects with when the Heavenly Order, fasda bi-mama tumar ("Thus, declare freely, O Prophet, what you are being directed") had not yet been uncovered. The polytheists around then were hearing the words, Fa-biayyi alaa'i Rabbi kuma tukadhdhi boycott, being discussed by him in the Request." This shows than this Surah had been sent down even before Surah Al-Hijr.

Al-Bazzar, Ibn Jarir, Ibn Al-Mundhir, Daraqutni (in Al Afrad), Ibn Marduyah and Ibn Al Khatib (in Al-Tarikh) have related, on the power of Hadrat Abdullah canister Umar, that once the Heavenly Prophet (harmony and endowments of Allah arrive) presented Surah Ar-Rahman himself, or heard it discussed before him : then, at that point, he shared with individuals: How could it be that I am not hearing from you the sort of smart response that the jinn had given to their Lord? When individuals asked what it was he answered: " As I presented the Heavenly Words, Fa bi-ayyi alaa'i Rabbi-kuma tukadhdhiban, the jinn accordingly would rehash the words La bi shai'in min ni'mati Rabbi-na nukadhdhib: " We don't keep any from getting our Master's favors." ( Surah Rahman)

A comparable subject has been connected by Tirmidhi, Hakim and Hafiz Abu Bakr al-Bazzar from Hadrat Jabir canister Abdullah. Their custom contains these words: " At the point when individuals stayed quiet on hearing the Surah Ar-Rahman, the Heavenly Prophet said 'I presented this very Surah before the jinn in the night when they had assembled to hear the Qur'an. They answered it better than you have. As I recounted the Heavenly Words, Fa bi ayyi alaa'i Rabbikuma tukadhdhiban ("O jinn and men, which gifts of your Ruler will you deny?") they would answer it, saying: O our Master, don't prevent any from getting your endowments Commendation is for You alone'!"

This custom shows that on the event of the occurrence that bas been connected in Surah Al Ahqaf(vv. 29-32) of the jinn's hearing the Qur'an from the Sacred Prophet (harmony and endowments of Allah arrive) he was recounting Surah Ar Rahman in the Request. This occurred in the tenth year of the Prophethood when the Sacred Prophet had stopped at Makkah returning from Ta'if. Albeit in a few different customs it has been accounted for that the Sacred Prophet didn't know then that the jinn were hearing him present the Qur'an, however a short time later Allah had educated him regarding this, it isn't irrational to assume that similarly as Allah had educated him regarding the jinn's hearing the Qur'an so likewise Allah Himself could have let him as to know answer they giving on hearing Surah Ar Rahman.

These practices just demonstrate that Surah Ar Rahman had been uncovered even before Surahs Al-Hijr and Al-Ahqaf. Moreover, we run over another practice which shows that it is one of those Surahs which were the earliest Disclosures at Makkah. Ibn Ishaq has related this on the power of Hadrat Urwah receptacle Zubair: The Mates one day shared with each other: " The Quraish have never heard any one discuss the Qur'an freely to them, and who might peruse out the Heavenly Word out loud to them Hadrat Abdullah canister Masud said that he would. ( Surah Rahman)

The Sidekicks communicated the trepidation that he may be exposed to an unforgiving treatment and said that it ought to more readily be finished by an individual of a strong family, who might safeguard him in the event that the Quraish attempted to expose him to savagery. Hadrat Abdullah said: ' Leave me be : my Defender is Allah.' So right on time next morning he went to the Ka'bah while the Quraish bosses were sitting in their separate meetings. Hadrat Abdullah showed up at the Maqam (station of Abraham) and started to present Surah Ar-Rahman raising his voice as he did as such.

The Quraish initially pursued for some time to comprehend what he was talking about. Then, when they understood that it was the Word that Muhammad (harmony and gifts of Allah arrive) was addressing as the Expression of God, they fell upon him and started to smack him in the face. Yet, Hadrat Abdullah was not stopped : he kept on getting the slaps and to peruse the Qur'an as long as he could, Finally, when he got back with an enlarged face, the Sidekicks said that they captured something very similar. He answered: ' God's foes were never so light for me as they were today. Assuming you say I'll present the Qur'an to them again tomorrow.' They generally said, 'No, you have done what's needed; you have caused them to pay attention to what they would have rather not conceived.'" ( Ibn Hisham, vol. 1, p. 336)

Topic and subject matter of  Surah Rahman

This is the main Surah of the Qur'an where other than men the jinn additionally, who are the other formation of the earth enriched with opportunity of will and activity, have been straightforwardly tended to, and the two men and jinn have been made to understand the marvels of Allah's influence, His innumerable favors, their own weakness and responsibility before Him, and have been cautioned of the malevolent outcomes of His noncompliance and made mindful of the best aftereffects of His compliance. ( Surah Rahman)

Despite the fact that at a few different spots in the Qur'an there are clear pointers to show that like the men the jinn too are a creation who have been supplied with opportunity of will and activity and are responsible, who have been conceded the opportunity of conviction and unbelief, of dutifulness and defiance, and among them too there are the devotees and the unbelievers, the respectful and the insubordinate, as among people, and among them too there exist such gatherings as have had confidence in the Prophets sent by God and in the Heavenly Books, this Surah obviously brings up that the message of the Sacred Prophet (harmony and gifts of Allah arrive) and the Qur'an is implied both for men and for jinn and that his Prophethood isn't confined to individuals alone.

Albeit in the start of the Surah the location is coordinated exclusively to people, for to them just has a place the vicegerency" of the earth, among them just have the Couriers of Allah been raised, and in their tongues just have the Heavenly Books been uncovered, yet from section 13 ahead the two the men and the jinn have been tended to and very much the same greeting has been reached out to both.

The subjects of the Surah have been framed in a word sentences in a particular grouping:

In vv. 1-4 it has been expressed that the educating of the Qur'an is from Allah All-powerful and it is the actual interest of His kindness that He ought to give direction to humankind through this instructing, for He has made man as a judicious and keen being. ( Surah Rahman)

In vv. 5-6 it has been said that the entire arrangement of the Universe is working under Allah's Power and everything in the earth and sky is dependent upon His Order alone.

In vv. 7-9 another significant truth that has been communicated is that Allah has laid out the whole arrangement of the Universe unequivocally and evenhandedly on equity, and the idea of this framework expects that the people who stay in it additionally ought to stick to equity inside the limits of their position and shouldn't upset the equilibrium.

In vv. 10-25 other than referencing the marvels and strengths of Allah's strength, references have been made to His those bounties from which the jinn and men are inferring benefit.

In vv.26-30 the two the men and the jinn have been helped to remember the bits of insight that in this Universe nobody with the exception of One God is eternal and perpetual, and there is none, from the most reduced to the most noteworthy, who doesn't really need God for his endurance and different necessities. Whatever is going on here, from the earth to the sky, is occurring under His organization and control. ( Surah Rahman)

In vv. 31-36 the two the gatherings have been cautioned that the time is quick drawing nearer when they will be censured, which they can not stay away from, for God's Realm is encompassing them from each side; it isn't an option for them to escape it; assuming they are associated with the misconception that they would be able, they might attempt to do as such.

In vv. 37-38 it has been said that this responsibility will be hung Upon the arrival of Restoration.

In vv. 39-45 the underhanded finish of the blameworthy ones, from among men and jinn, who have been defying Allah on the planet has been referenced.

What's more, from refrain 46 to the furthest limit of the Surah notice has been made of those prizes and endowments which will be conceded to the honest men and jinn who have had devout existences on the planet and lived with a reasonable comprehension that they should show up before their Master one day and render a record of their deeds and activities. ( Surah Rahman)

This entire talk is framed in persuasive language. It is a vivacious and expressive location throughout which in the wake of referencing every one of the marvels of Allah's extraordinary power, and every one of the gifts presented by Him, and every one of the signs of His Sway and domain, and every one of the subtleties of His discipline and rewards, the jinn and men have been again and again addressed: " Which then of the bounties and favors of your Master will you deny ?" Underneath we will make sense of that alaa is a word with many shades of importance, which has been utilized in various faculties at better places in this talk, and this inquiry to the jinn and men bears its own unique significance at each spot as per the specific circumstance.
